Finally Manny Goes Where He Belongs...Hollywood
I know I don't write about sports much, but I've gone a bit AWOL lately and my brain is overloaded. Look for a lot of new posts this week and some good lists as well.
Manny Ramirez is a surefire Hall-of-Famer. His numbers are staggering and most people probably don't realize he's already 36 years old because he still produces so well. But beyond his ability, Manny is a bumbling moron. And anybody who thinks he is good for the game can get on the boat with him. I laugh at his idiocy, but not because I like him. Having said all that, Manny has finally gone where Manny belongs...Hollywood. I'm not surprised that he loves it there already. It's like Boston without the pressure. And no matter how much he tries to say he's over Boston like a bad ex-girlfriend, he better get used to the fact he'll be wearing a Red Sox hat forever in bronze in Cooperstown. Frankly, the Red Sox got the greatest deal this season in Jason Bay for Manny Ramirez (essentially). Bay may not be as great a hitter as Ramirez, but what very little he lacks at the plate he makes up for on the field, on the wallet, and in the age bracket. I'm glad to see a player of his caliber go to a franchise he deserves.
The fact this is the smartest Manny has ever sounded says enough.
