I'd say television is an extension of the movie industry. HBO especially. Therefore, it is my obligation to inform you of the greatest show on television. I've been watching Flight of the Conchords since just about the beginning. The first show was absolutely amazing. Hilarious. The only reason (literally) I put the extra $6/month into my cable bill to get HBO is this show. We've been blessed with a 2nd season of Conchords and it is even better than the first.

For those of you who don't know, Flight of the Conchords is a show starring the two members of the music band by the same name. Bret and Jemaine, from New Zealand, took their act to America through HBO and have won over everybody who watches the show. They dabble in every genre of music and implement the songs into plots (or vice versa) throughout the 30 minute shows. If you have HBO, you absolutely need to watch it at 10 pm on Sundays. If not, go here and watch them all. Keep an eye out for the scene stealer and psychotic fan, Mel, whose character should be nominated for something, somewhere.

If anything, watch Conchords for the accents. I spend all day talking like these two in my head. I wish I could speak like them naturally. So, this post is my hope that you will go and watch the show. It is hands down the greatest show on cable television, with the Office taking the network television prize.
