I can not believe that you would talk about some stripper that gave you a card, and not Katie and I. The only reason you had fun was because of us, we showed all around town and brought you to some pretty good bars. I know Butch would never treat us like that, and frankly I am a little surprised you would. I don't know if a road trip to Chicago to see you guys play is worth it now.

Good luck tonight. Maybe the hot weather will help your control. We lived one year in Kalamazoo(1965) but the town has obviously changed... never saw a stripper then.

Mike, This is my first look at your site, and I think it's great. Your great grandmother Dee used to say, "everything happens for the best". I never completely agreed, but I'm glad that you have a better chance to get your degree at Marietta, and that you'll enjoy playing more.
PS: You're an excellent reporter. Maybe that's your ultimate career.

Way to go !! I already checked the website to get my hat for the Wild Things. I already have my Mahoning Valley Scrappers hat and my Lake County Captains hat. I see that this club is close to Pittsburgh and the Pirates were one of the teams interested in drafting you, if I remember correctly. Wherever you are, I am always behind you.

Congrats, Mike on your signing with the Washington Wild Things!!! Is this a semi-pro league or is it affiliated with any MLB team? I'm sure they scout these teams, so hopefully something good will come out of all of this. When do you report and when does the season begin? I checked their web site, but couldn't find this years schedule.

finally got to see the infamous There Will Be Blood... Daniel-Day Lewis' performance was top-notch. He takes well to the overbearing, violent father-figure role -- he also did this in Gangs of New York.
